RDC endorses expansion of Sta. Josefa irrigation project

Butuan City (1 September) -- More farmers in nearby barangays in Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur will soon improve their yield when the expansion of Sta. Josefa Pump Irrigation Project will be implemented. The expansion of service area of the projects was endorsed by the Regional Development Council (RDC) during its meeting held recently for funding by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA).

An additional cost of PhP57.7 million is required to expand the service area from 2,000 hectares to 2,787 hectares. Presently, only the barangays of Angas, Awao, Sayon, Concepcion, San Jose and Patrocinio in Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur are covered by adequate irrigation water supply.

扩大约瑟夫法站灌溉项目，可用让南阿古桑省约瑟夫法站，附近各镇有更多的农民将很快提高他们的产量，约瑟夫法站水泵灌溉项目也将得到实施。该服务项目面积的扩大是经过区域发展局（RDC）的同意。项目资金由全国灌溉管理局（NIA）拨款。
服务地区从原先的2000公顷扩张到2787公顷，需要更多的费用。目前，仅在站前的安加斯各镇，Awao，萨永，康塞普西翁，圣何塞和帕特罗西尼奥。约瑟夫法，南阿古桑省有充分灌溉供水。
